Rehandle

What's this repair for?

Your handle is broken or is creating too much stress on the shoulders causing splitting.

What we do:

Your handle is replaced with a new one which can be in round, semi oval or oval shape. The stickers covering the spice are removed and cleaned and any splitting around the shoulder is repaired.

Refurbishment

What's this repair for?

Your bat has had a bit of use and needs a full tidy up and maybe some minor cracking fixed up.

What we do:

Remove all stickers and facing, glue all cracking on blade, sand, buff, apply new stickers, grip and facing if required.

Weight Reduction

What's this repair for?

Your bat feels a bit heavy or unbalanced.

What we do:

Remove back stickers, remove wood off the back of your bat to your requirements, sand and buff.

Face and/or toe repair

What's this repair for?

Your bat has developed some small cracks on the face and/or toe.

What we do:

Remove facing, glue necessary cracking, sand and apply a new facing. The face usually comes back looking pretty fresh.

Resleeve

What's this repair for?

You need a new facing on your old bat.

What we do:

Remove current facing, sand and buff, apply new facing.

Handle Binding

What's this repair for:

Your handle feels a bit thin and you don't want to add an extra grip

What we do:

Add an extra layer of binding to increase the thickness of your handle.

Shoulder repair

What's this repair for?

The shoulder on your bat has split.

What I do:

Remove 1/3 binding, repair shoulder crack, clean area if necessary (may include removing some stickers), re-bind bottom 1/3, tape around shoulder.

Toe binding

What's this repair for:

Holding the toe of the bat together, minimising the chance of toe splitting.

What we do:

Whilst this isn't a repair we tend to recommend it is one that is common and we like to offer to our clients. We wrap layers of thread around the toe and glue. The thread is pulled tight, indenting itself in the corners of the wood.

Knocking in

What's this repair for?

Knocking in is required on all cricket bats. You can either spend the time yourself to look after it or let me look after it for you.

What we do:

Oil, machine knock in and do some hand knocking to toe and edges. The bat will be ready to go into the nets against old balls but needs to be worked through before using in a game. This take 7-10 days to complete. Please don't send your bat with an applied facing as the knocking in machine will damage the facing. If you bat has a facing applied please also add a resleeve to your order.

What we do:

Assess your bat for any damage and contact you with what needs to be fixed/done. Shipping is extra if you wish to have it sent back with/without repair. Order this if you’re not sure what your bat needs and we’ll get in touch when it arrives.
