What you'll need: hand plane (or other tool for shaping), sandpaper, rasp, thread, grip. There are many other creative ways to make cricket bats too! 

Grading:

Players: Lighter/Players willow. Grain structure unimportant as long as it performs

Grade 1+: 10+ straight, even, clean grains

Grade 1: 6-9 straight, even, clean grains

Grade 2: Some imperfections which do not effect performance

Grade 3: Some imperfections which do effect performance in some areas

As we test out selling cricket balls we wanted to create a ball that was made from premium materials but didn't cost an arm and a leg. We purchased the top-of-the-line ball from our manufacturer and have made sure to keep the cost as low as possible as we try them out. 

The balls are made from a softer core than most sub-continent balls (not bat breakers) and have a brighter red colour which is great for seeing them! We're aiming to make these the best quality 4 piece throw down balls you can get.
