Buy him a pre-made bat
Every pre-made bat is finished, photographed on its own, and listed with its weight, grain count, handle and shape. The bat in the photo is the bat that turns up. Filter by weight and handle and you will get close.
Timing: sent within 2 business days, so it is the fastest way to get a real bat to him.
Get him a gift card
Bat size follows height and weight follows how he plays, so guessing is how a bat ends up in the shed. A gift card lets him choose, or bring him into the workshop and we will size him properly. It covers anything we do.
Timing: emailed on the date you choose, so it lands on the morning you want it to.
Replace his softs
Gloves, batting pads, thigh pads, wicketkeeping gear, helmets and kit bags. If his gloves have been held together with tape since last season, this is the easy one. Order any JPG bat and you get 20% off full priced softs.

Give him the bat making experience
90 minutes in the workshop with head bat maker Josh Gavan. He walks the racks and picks his own cleft, watches the blade take shape, has his say on the handle, then chooses stickers and grip. He takes the finished bat home the same day.
Timing: it is a booking, not a delivery. Give it on the day and book a session that suits him.

A custom bat, built to his game
He picks the willow grade, the weight, the shape, where the middle sits, the handle, the stickers and the grip. Pressed and shaped by hand in Rydalmere. Laser engraving is available for a name, a date or a score.

The bat making experience
90 minutes in the workshop with Josh Gavan. He picks the cleft off the rack, watches the blade take shape, has his say as the handle is shaped, then chooses stickers, grip and toe protection. He takes the bat home the same day.
The $50 deposit books it and comes off the price of the bat. If he would rather do the work himself, Make Your Own Cricket Bat is a full day for $300.
Timing: a booking, not a delivery. Give it on the day and book a session that suits him.

Softs and the Torpedo
Gloves, batting pads, thigh pads, wicketkeeping gear, helmets and kit bags, picked and tested by us. Order any JPG bat and you get 20% off full priced softs, so it is worth pairing them.
The Torpedo runs its middle low to high, so the blade is massive the whole way up. It suits big hitting batters who want to clear 100 metres. Both Torpedos are custom built from $499.
Timing: softs go out within 2 business days. Torpedos are ready in 2 weeks.

Come in and pick it up
The workshop is at 8 Brodie Street, Rydalmere NSW 2116. If the gift is needed soon, walking in is the surest way to have something in your hands the same day. You can pick the bats up, feel the pickup, and we will size him properly if he comes with you.
