Buying a junior bat

What size cricket bat does my child need?
Height is the starting point. Under 145cm is a Size 4, 145 to 150cm a Size 5, 150 to 165cm a Size 6, 165 to 173cm a Harrow and 170 to 180cm a Small Mens. Over 180cm and he is into senior sizes. Use the height box above and it will point at the row.
Should I size up so he grows into it?
No. A bat that is too long or too heavy changes how he plays and he will not enjoy using it. Buy the size that fits now. Most kids are in a size for a season or two.
How heavy should a junior bat be?
The junior bats here run from about 1lb 12oz to 2lb 8oz depending on size. He should be able to play every shot at full pace without it feeling like hard work. If in doubt, lighter is the safer mistake.
What is the difference between Little Ripper and Little Ripper+?
Little Ripper+ is the higher grade English willow, in G1 and G3. Both are junior shapes in the same sizes. The difference is the grain structure and cleanness of the willow, not the shape.
Can I get a custom bat in a junior size?
Yes. Custom sizes go down to Size 4, so he can have a bat built to his height and the weight that suits him. Custom bats are ready in 2 weeks.
How long does delivery take?
