Every bat that leaves JPG HQ is a genuinely high-end piece of craftsmanship - hand-selected English Willow, shaped and finished by hand in Sydney.
In this session, it's built around you. You'll have a real say in how it's shaped: the blade's profile, edges and sweet spot, and a handle shaped in your hands until the pickup feels exactly right. This isn't a bat off a shelf - it's your bat, from the first shaving to the final buff.

Ever watched a cricket bat being made? For 90 minutes, the workshop is yours. Stand at the bench with Josh, watch a raw cleft become a finished blade, and be part of every decision along the way.
It's equal parts masterclass and making session - and you walk out the same day with the bat in your hands.

Meet your bat maker
You're welcomed into the workshop by Josh, who'll be building your bat with you at the bench.

Tell us what you have in mind
Your game, your favourite shots, the weight and pickup you like - together we turn it into the plan for your bat.

Pick your cleft
Head to the racks and hand-select the exact piece of English Willow your bat will be made from.

Shape and sand the bat
Watch the blade take form - profile, edges and sweet spot - and have your say as the handle is shaped in your hands until the pickup feels exactly right.

Finish with your selections
Make it yours before it leaves the bench:
- Stickers - choose from the range below
- Grip - pick your colour
- Shoe Goo - toe protection for synthetic pitches
- Knocking in - +$80, adds 1-2 days
- Engraving - $20 for your name or initials

Take it home!
Walk out of JPG HQ with your finished custom bat in hand - the same day. If you want it knocked in, leave it with us for 1-2 days. We can also ship your bat to you - free for orders over $500.

If your bat doesn't feel quite right once you've used it, we'll adjust the weight free of charge within 30 days of you receiving it. Drop it into the shop at no cost - if you're posting it in, delivery is the only cost.
