Delivery

Orders shipped outside Australia may be subject to additional duties and taxes. Additional duties and taxes are due on delivery and are your responsibility to pay. GST (10%) will be removed at checkout.

We use an eCommerce shipping system called Easyship which links up the best rates from different couriers. This gives you the best 3 options for your delivery. It'll give the cheapest, the best value and the fastest option. There are a couple things to note. 

We send out deliveries approximately 3 times per week. 

Aus Post:

Our favourite and usually the most reliable delivery option. Australia Post will collect on the same day we pack the order, usually around 4pm so orders before then are a good chance of being shipped out. Delivery time at checkout is usually correct. 

The rest:

Usually a cheaper rate and mostly reliable. These couriers will collect the day after we pack the order which adds 1 day to the delivery time listed on the website.

Custom bats

Please allow up to 3 weeks for us to make and send your custom made bat. If you order knocking in please add 7-10 days. Free delivery will be sent regular Australia Post. 

Bat repairs

Depending on the time of year repairs will usually take 3-5 working days. We will send out your bat when ready. 

Other gear

Your order will be sent out within 2 business days. 

Custom bats

We pride ourselves on getting it right! If you receive your custom made bat and it isn't 100% perfect we will send you a label and send back the bat for free so we can make any required adjustments. Please get in touch anytime within 30 days of receiving your bat. After 30 days any adjustments will be charged. 

 

Returns

General Return Policy:

Unused and undamaged items, excluding cricket bats and online-only merch, may be returned within 30 days of receipt. Change-of-mind returns will be refunded with store credit. Delivery costs will be borne by the customer. Please refer to the warranty section below for faulty items.

Custom-Made Cricket Bats:

Custom-made cricket bats are non-returnable for change-of-mind reasons. Please refer to the warranty section below for faulty items.

Pre-Made Bats (Staple and Little Ripper):

Pre-made bats, including Staple and Little Ripper models, can be returned within 30 days of receipt if unused and undamaged. A $30 fee will be incurred for re-stickering and restocking. Store credit will be provided for these returns. Delivery costs will be borne by the customer. Please refer to the warranty section below for faulty items.

Discounted or sale items:

Discounted items cannot be returned or exchanged for change-of-mind or incorrect sizing reasons, as this helps us maintain our pricing. Please use our size guides to order the correct size. If there's a defect or you received the wrong item, see below for returns.

Warranty Returns

Cricket Bats

Cricket bats are natural products. This means that there is a possibility that your JPGavan bat could break. We will always do our best to ensure durability in your bat, but wood is wood and any bat has the chance of having it's issues. Cricket bats can break for numerous reasons in numerous ways. Please follow our bat care guide to minimise the chance of this happening. Most of the time the bat can be fixed. We will not consider warranty for JPGavan products if they have:

1. Been damaged as a result of regular wear and tear

2. Been wrongly used or neglected or that have been repaired or modified without being certified by JPGavan

3. Become damaged through bad shots or have failed as a result of poor preparation and care. Most cricket brands don't cover damage to yorkers but we will cover damage which is the fault of the bat. 

4. Had stickers removed. 

5. Been made over 12 months ago. This includes if the bat has had none or minimal use. Cricket bats are made of natural materials that still need to be looked after without use. 

Repair or Replacement?

If a warranty claim is able to be repaired we will fix it up as quick as possible. If it is not repairable we will replace the bat. If a bat is repaired under warranty and the previous issue reoccurs we will automatically replace the bat. Wear and tear is normal on cricket bats and minor cracking may need to be maintained by the owner. All warranty claims will be thoroughly checked and considered by Josh Gavan at JPGavan and decisions will be made on a case by case basis at our sole discretion. 

All warranty claims on bats purchased from JPGavan made within 12 months of purchase will be repaired for free if required. We will cover shipping within Australia. If the bat cannot be repaired a replacement of the same value will be issued, upgrades and changes are not available in warranty cases. Replacement bats are under warranty for the same period of 12 months from the original purchase, not from the date of issuing the replacement. If the bat is replaced within the last three months of the warranty period a period of three months will be added to the warranty starting from the date the new bat is issued. 

Inaccurate play: If a false shot is played which makes damage to the sides, back, shoulders, toe or other areas of the bat, warranty will not be granted. This includes damage from carrying in bags, banging on the ground etc. JPGavan's decision is final on inaccurate play warranty claims. 

In general cricket bats will be repaired at least once before a replacement or credit is given.

NO STICKERS, NO WARRANTY. If you request a JPGavan bat without JPGavan stickers it will not come with a warranty. If stickers are removed from a JPGavan bat warranty will be void. No exceptions. 

Pads, gloves, bags and others

Soft gear (pads, gloves ect) will be replaced if there is a manufacturing fault within 3 months of purchase. General wear and tear is not covered. Assessment is totally at the discretion of JPGavan. Returns will be replaced or refunded with store credit.

We will assess the return and provide information to get the product back to us. No return will be fully processed unless it is returned to JPGavan. Assessment is totally at the discretion of JPGavan.

We do not offer full refunds in any case.

Please note: Cricket is a dangerous sport. All products are made for normal play or training assistance and therefore JPGavan cannot be held responsible for personal or third party injury. Please make sure the product is the right size for the user and the protection level is correct for the respective playing level.
