Q. How do I get my custom cricket bat?

A. There are two main ways to get your bat. The first is to order online.

  • Online: Purchase your bat through the web store. Your bat will then be made to your specifications. From the order date the bat will be made in 2 weeks and posted 
  • In person (fitting): During the week we are open to do custom bat fittings where we pick out a cleft in the grade you wish and discuss specifications for your perfect cricket bat. From the date of fitting it will take 2 weeks to complete the bat. Contact for an appointment. 
  • In person (custom bat making session): On Fridays (9am-7pm) the JPGavan workshop is open exclusively available for custom bats made on the spot, while you watch in about 1.5 hours. Contact for an appointment, we'll need a few days notice.

 

Q. How long does a custom bat take?

A. Custom bats take 3 weeks to make. There is also Friday on the spot sessions which take 1.5 hours if you want to skip the que. 

 

Q. How long does knocking in take?

A. Knocking in is separate to the cost of your bat. It is $65 and takes 7-10 days. I can also recommend a place in Sydney's west for faster knocking in. 

 

Q. How long do bat repairs take?

A. Bat repairs take 1-2 weeks to complete. If you can bring it in on Monday we'll do everything possible for it to be ready to collect on Friday before your next game.

 

Q. Do you do sponsorships?

A. Unfortunately this season we aren't looking to sponsor.  

 

Q. What sticker colours do you have available?

A. We have black, white, blue, green, pink, yellow, orange, grey, indigenous, panther, purple and red and red for 2021/22
