Knocking In

What this is for

Every cricket bat needs knocking in before it faces a hard ball. You can put the hours in yourself, or send it to us and we will do it properly.

What we do

We oil the bat first. Then it goes on our knocking in machine for 10k plus knocks. After that the edges and toe are knocked by hand, and the edges rolled by hand. If you have asked for a facing or shoe goo, that goes on last.

Your bat comes back ready for the nets against old balls. It still needs to be worked through before you use it in a game.

Sending your bat to us

Post it or drop it off at 8 Brodie Street, Rydalmere NSW 2116, and write your order number on the box.

Please don't send your bat in a bat cover. Covers get separated from bats around the workshop and we can't guarantee yours will come back to you. Post or drop off the bare bat only.

Please don't send a bat that already has a facing on it, because the knocking in machine will damage it. If yours has one, add a resleeve to your order.

How long it takes

1 to 2 working days once your bat is with us.
